Day one- I have to pick "A Blackman's Breakfast" from Introducing Foxy. There isn't a song of their's that doesn't strike me somehow, but this is in my opinion, one of the sweetest songs. I don't picture my life, I really picture Eric meeting his wife "I saw rice in your hair; No more oceans between us" and the happiness she's brought him. He's mentioned several times that without her love and support, he couldn't do this and (Forever Together sorta cements that) God knows his writing has changed my life. But the chorus is what anyone wants the love of their life, standing outside screaming at 3am in the rain (or at your wedding ceremony to Eric, whichever): "Say that you love me! Say that you're mine! Say that you'll be there until the end!"Eric makes me believe that love like this does exist. I'm posting an acoustic performance in which Eric does say:"I can't wait to be introduced to the only one that matters, Alex." Shelly, I just have Alex radar when it comes to these gems. It's not purposefully!! youtu.be/SQuv86Ue2Tg

So I'm way behind. Day 2- "Drain you"It's a cover but they do it so damn well. The other bands on the "Newermind" album didn't really take their song and run with it the way that Foxy did. And it's perfect Foxy material. Daisy quote time Shelly- "I'm the Nirvana guy in the band," boasts Daisy, bassist for the Cincinnati glam rockers. "Right away I knew 'Drain You' would be best for us. We're more of a vocally oriented band than anything else, and the melody line lets us showcase that." Well, that and "it would've been intimidating to do one of the big hits." Instead, he says, five minutes after the band chose the song, "we were getting drunk and jamming out on it." www.spin.com/articles/free-album-spin-tribute-nirvanas-nevermindwww.youtube.com/watch?v=Spps6g129DE

OMG what the fuck is going on...I can't find this thread half the time when I'm looking for it! I don't know why it shows up so far down on the page, I can't even see it unless I scroll down but when I see all the albums listed, I keep thinking thats all there is on this page! And I swear, that video was on there when I first read this! And I can't load it now, I have 3 videos loading and they're all going to take half an hour the way my slow ass laptop is going!! i'll have to watch it another time. On to the Daisy quote...I actually am not a big fan of Nirvana and I heard Drain You once but didn't care for it. But I feel better knowing that 2 of Daisy's favorite albums of all time are Purple Rain and Siamese Dream and I love both of those so, me and him could totally make love to the "Purple Rain" title track and lay in each others arms to "Disarm". ;D

It's probably my bad posting of the video. I would love if people played along. I feel like a narcissist. Oh well.
And I love Drain you because of the way Foxy made it their own and gave it that ethereal sound. If you liked original Nirvana, than nah you won't like it.

Day 3: "Introducing Foxy" from Introducing Foxy.
"I always knew there was something special about that boy" couldn't be a more perfect lyric to describe all of the boys individually.

So I listened to Drain You again yesterday, and I don't remember hearing it before! I swore that I heard it a few weeks ago but this time I liked it, so I don't know if what I heard before wasn't really it, or what, but I DO like it now!!
