A close friend of Loren and Daisy said that Daisy gave Loren the nickname 'Norm' because he used to act so "normal" all the time, and for a while was the goody two-shoes of the band.
Of course, most of that has changed now, but the nickname just kinda stuck, and the guys still continue to call him Norm.
Just thought I'd give some insight!

That does seem plausible.
But that means he had to know Daisy since before Foxy, because in his other band V-Mob(oh god they are terrible) he was called Norm and that was like pre-2001.

Interesting! Well it's plausible that they knew each other back then, does anyone know how Daisy got recruited for the band? He is from Louisville so it wasn't like they grew up together. I might ask Daisy this if I meet him at my show in weeks!

Well, Loren's wife calls him Norm sometimes on facebook, and it's possible she could have called him that and Daisy caught on?
Eric said in an interview somewhere that Daisy's band [I'm guessing Ayin?] and Foxy were playing the same venue one night, and Eric and Loren were totally digging Daisy, and they approached him like "So, we're in need of a bass player, and we like you. Call us." and, of course, Daisy took them up on their offer and history was made.

Ohh, now that you mention it, I heard that a few months ago, I just forgot! I don't blame them either, I would be "totally diggin" him too! ;D
