It was in 2006 they introduced me to Foxy Shazam, because they opened Funny enough I hated Foxy the first time I heard them at that show! but because they were opening for Retard-O-Bot a lot, I decided I may as well enjoy them if I was going to be seeing them a lot, and man, all I had to do was open my mind a bit, now they're my favorite band as for MSI I don't really listen to them anymore but they'll forever hold a special place in my heart for giving me Foxy Shazam

Its funny how a lot of people actually didn't like them the first time they saw them and now they love um! I guess it depends on how they preformed on the night but they seem to give it 100% at most shows.

Well y'know I was a twelve year old child and the most "wild" thing I'd ever heard was MSI
not to mention it was my first ever concert.
but man, I love being able to say Foxy Shazam was the first band I saw live

lovelytoes, that's funny because I was introduced to Foxy the same way you were. Back in June 2006 I saw them open for MSI. I was at that concert for MSI and never even heard of Foxy. I remember waiting for the first band and all of a sudden some guy (who I thought was one of the roadies) walks across the stage, drops down onto his knees and starts screaming randomness. I think I had a look on my face like, "What the hell am I watching?" I didn't catch their name, but kept asking everybody who they were and nobody could tell me. I finally found out a few weeks later and signed up for their street team. And then I kept catching them when they would open for Retard-o-bot. I think I saw them with Retard-o-bot at least twice.

Not many bands tour where I live so, AC/DC My Chemical Romance / Blink-182 Foxy Shazam / Automagik / Cadaver Dogs/ Banderas. I plan on heading to more, y'know, as soon as the bands I like decide to come near me.

Not even exaggerating but every single person I've seen who talks about seeing them live was blown away and became a fan afterwards.

If it weren't for the fact that you didn't like them the first time, I would have said something like you got the best one out of the way first, now what is there left to look forward to!? ;D That was a stupid question...answer: FOXY SHAZAM AGAIN!!! ;D

That's an awesome Foxy First Time story!! Mine is kinda similar...I didn't know anything about them other than I heard Holy Touch and thought they sounded like Queen. I was there for free with my friend who was on the street team (ha!). Before the show started, she goes, "Oh there's Sky!" and we went over to him and got pics taken with him, and I didn't even know who he was or what instrument he played or even if I liked his band! ;D The whole time he was hugging me I thought to myself, "Who is this guy with this massive beard and does he know that I have no idea who he is!?" ;D Then of course, once the show started, I was all and kept going "OH MY GOD!" to my friend...yeah, 30 seconds in and I knew they were going to be something special!

I've heard a lot of Foxy fans also like Fun...I've only heard one of their songs though, but I plan on checking them out soon. Somebody even said they sound like Foxy. Do you think they do? fun. supported Panic with Foxy so I think that's how a lot of people saw them and were introduced to their music. They were absolute shit when I saw them live (drunk acting, had a dumb-ass "fun" sign that lit up randomly and annoyingly) but there aren't enough nice things I can say about "Some Nights", their new album. I even like their stuff from their debut "Aim and Ignite". I think they couldn't sound less like Foxy if they tried though. They sound like Panic on their first album and I think a little old-school Cobra Starship on Some Nights. I'd never compare anybody to Foxy but Queen. No one deserves that compliment. Haha. I was reading the new AP and it has 100 bands you need to know. I squealed in excitement because one band was recommended "For fans of Foxy Shazam" (Cherri Bomb) It's an all-girl band though I'm kinda confused.

I like PATD, and Cobra Starship is alright...I'll probably like their stuff. ;D that annoying "fun" sign sounds hilarious! I used to get AP, God I actually remember a few years ago reading about Foxy Shazam as a good band to listen to if you like Queen, and I actually wrote their name down on my list of bands to check out, but then I got laid off from my job & had to move back in with my mom and my life went to shit and I never did get around to that list...DAMNIT ALL TO HELL!!! If I hadn't been laid off, and my life would have stayed AWESOME, I would have gotten into Foxy back in the Introducing days!!!

Hey you live in Tampa its very possible that we may have bumped into each other because it seems like we've been to the same shows! Janus Landing & State Theater? Jannus Landing is the place where I first saw Foxy. They're were opening for Kill Hannah and MSI. And I think I've seen them at State Theater about 3 times now. And at the Orpheum (the old one) a bunch of times haha.
